iOS enforces a strict permissions systems for access to the Photo Library; unless you explicitly grant access, PhotoRaw will not be able to import images. iOS does this by asking for permission for access. Depending on the version of iOS and the device configuration, this may appear as either a request for access to Location Services or as a request for access to the Photo Album. If you answer "No" to a request for this access, image imports will fail with the error message above. You must answer "Yes" to enable PhotoRaw imports.

If you have already answered "No" to the location services prompt, do the following: 

  1. Go to your device's "Settings" app
  2. Enable either location services or photo library access as appropriate for your device.
